Google Hangouts, Google+ and Gmail face service disruption
NEW DELHI: It appears that Google services including Hangouts, Google+ and Gmail are down for a large number of users.
The Hangouts contacts list integrated with Gmail is not loading and returning errors such as "Gmail is temporarily unable to access your Contacts. You may experience issues while this persists." A few Google services pages are throwing up 500 errors. We also experienced problems while trying to send chat messages through the mobile version of Hangouts.
Some services are working but are extremely sluggish to use at this time.
Google's Apps Status Dashboard also indicates that Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Talk, Google Drive, Google Groups, Google Sites, and Google Hangouts are experiencing service disruption.
